Title: Linkstation hd-h250lan only using USB 1.0
Post by: hudsora on January 10, 2009, 08:04:28 AM

Hello,

I have a Buffalo Linkstation hd-h250lan and I am trying to connect my printer to the Linkstation. It connects and all but it is only running on USB 1.0.

Which is painfully slow.  I know that these are USB 2.0 ports on the station but I am at a loss to how to make it run in USB 2.0.

All help is welcome and much appreciated!

Generally the ports will detect the type and run acordingly. Make sure your printer and USB cable are rated at 2.0. Also it will take a little longer for the print job to run than normal because it is going through the network and then though the Linkstation. The ports on that model are 2.0, however the run 480Mbps in High-Speed and 12 Mbps in Full-Speed mode. It will run as fast as the device attached will allow it.
