Using latest webaccess client for ipad does play mp4 video files , but sound is missing.

MP4 files have AAC audio encoding and are playing well (with sound) from native iPad client and also from Dropbox client.

Device: Linkstation LS-VL 1 TB NAS with firmware 1.54

iPad client: Webaccess i HD version 1.20

any ideas?

Hi,

Sorry, I cannot help you with this but rather, ask how you prep your NAS to be connected via Webaccess i HD v.1.20? I downloaded this for my wife iPad 2, connect via dyndns, however, in the "file name" I see nothing comes up... very strange...

My iOS is 4.3.5

My NAS is WXL/R1 (LinkStation Duo) with firmware 1.54

I have set all folders to be Windows and Apple. Also, in the Network I have selected AFT besides FTP.

Any idea?

iPad iOS version 4.3.5 , nobody else has this problem?. Can anybody make a small test with a mp4 file?

i have mp4 files on my nas and can stream them thru the ipad app with sound without any issues. my only issue is that the playback stops and starts. going to try filebrowser.

Running fine on iOS 4.3.3 on local network.

Ok, here is the fix. You know the little switch that mutes the sound from your iPad? For some reason it also mutes sound on the app. Switch that little guy and you are good to go.
