Title: LED indications for 8.0TB LS-QV8.0TL/R5-EU - NAS server not accessable
Post by: deciBel on August 28, 2011, 02:57:25 AM

The blue ligt is constant, and then a Purple ligt blinks like this: LONG -  LONG - SHORT. -Every 3 seconds in a loop... (I guess the purple light is a result of the blue light, and a red light mixed...)

I cant access the NAS via the IP adress, nor, via the software provided. (It doesnt find it.)

What does the led light indicate?; and how do I solve this ?

Regards

Hello my Friend,

Any luck with your problem. I am facing exactly the same problem. Looks like there is no solution.

Mine is Linkstation LS-QL/R5, originally with firmware 1.11

My issue started with a RAID failure, first it showed HDD 3 has bad sectors. I got a new HDD from, replaced it, but then RAID rebuild failed, following one of the Buffalo forum thread I flushed firmware 1.11 with 1.10 (it seems they are same). After getting 1.10 RAID rebuild again failed, then it started showing same symptoms you have described. My subsequent attempt to flush firmware failed (force flush).
