I have a 2TB PRO, and the transfer rates are outrageously slow. Slow to the point that the device is useless as a remote device. When connected to the home network, it seems reasonable. I use it for Time Machine backups, and it works alright. Over WiFi it takes an obviously long time. However, when I am away from home the transfer rates are terrible. In the double digit KB/s range. I wanted to upload about a gigabyte worth of photos while I was in my research lab (connected via Ethernet on an absurdly fast connection). The fastest I saw it go was 26kb/s. I stopped, and used Dropbox instead (which took hardly any time at all). Why so slow? So far, I'm not impressed at all with this device. Seems like it was a waste of money. Between the failures of the Pogo iOS software and the trouble I've had just getting the darn thing to work, I should have just bought a Time Capsule.

lost most control of my fingers, body, have constant spasms & tremors (post-polio) now throat Cancer ,so pleaqe bear with me, it hurts like hell 2 type or move(but i ain't dead yet doggitt!)

Somethings evidently wrong. i'm getting 30-39 MB/sec over my 1 Gagabit network hardwired local.. haventtested wireless yet (still experimenting with the hardware) but i will try 2 today or tomorrow (memory damage so dont hold me to it but i'll try 2 remember)

hold off on reaching a bad conclusion.  especially if u have the pro version.

i do not work 4 buffalo but i've had a chace 2 experiment a little withthese units and actually retuned one due 2 lack of  hard info & docs but since then i've reordered and am running one now..diff being i upoload all files locally. so i will try uploading remotely - i do have others uploading remotely with no problem but hae ho reports of slowness or actual speeds soi'll do it myself..

Quick test remote  20.5 MB/sec.. its fast!!

 

yep did it again.. remotely 20 - 22 Mb/sec...

ok lets begin by getting a few facts

your network is 10m, 100m 1000(Gigabit)

what speed do u see on your network, say copying a 200+mb file to another drive on your network

When doing a backup what speed? its not suficient 2 say its ok.

Router brand/ model

littkle more info is neededbefore i can figure it out nut i'd try tech support too. sinceit maytake a whie 4 me 2 getback 2 u

I know that this is an old thread.. I did purchase a cloudstor (brand new) last year and upload speed is just terrible. At first a 1GB file would take 3 days. Re-flashed the firmware same issue. Streaming movies was jumpy.. bottom line it was slow. Got really frustrated and left in the closet for since then. Last week I decided to play with it. Got a new HD  installed the firmware. Got better performance with just about everything except upload speeds. I started to upload an avi file (2GB) and it took nearly 8 hours. I do have a gigabit network at home and only 2 stations are connected to it, the cloudstor and my PC.


To the OP, did you ever get your issue resolved?
