Title: Problem with NasNavigator2
Post by: dclardy64 on January 03, 2009, 11:13:46 PM

I am on my sony vaio laptop, and I am unable to see the drives through the navigator. I know that you do not need the navigator, but my personality will not let me stop until it is fixed correctly.

This is the error message that I get when I press the refresh button:

LAN card under operation was not able to be detected

Any ideas on how to get this fixed? I am disable TCP-IP6 on this computer. Is that a problem?

I have exactly the same problem with my Sony VAIO computer, and also with an ACER.

The fonctionality offered by the "Auto" butom position doesn't workn probably in relation with the previous problem.

I get interest with the solution someone could write.

I encountered the same problem but solved it by plugging my laptop network cable into the same router as the NAS device. I was then able to get the NasNavigator2 to show my device and I was then able to run the admin as I needed. I hope this helps. I had wireless access to my device prior, but the admin rights.

Also configure your firewall and antivirus software around this utility.

connecting the laptop with network cable into the same router as the NAS device solves the problem but wireless still doesn't work.

It is useless if we need to sit with laptop near the router to connect it physically to the wireless router.

Does somebody has a solution where we can make NAS NAVIGATOR work with wireless so that "auto" power functionality can be used.

I have Lenavo Y530 laptop. and get the same error " LAN card under operation was not able to be detected". So I can't make use of auto power functionality with wireless connection to the NAS.

This issue has been already posted here and we don't have any update on the softwares auto power function working with wireless.  It's been noted but we don't have any day to day updates with our software creators since they're overseas.
