Title: Linkstation Pro Duo - Can't Map to Shares
Post by: AnthonyB on September 29, 2008, 06:53:45 AM
Installed my Pro Duo last night.  Installation seemed to go fine and the NAS unit is accessible via the admin utility.  However, when I try to map a drive to the share, it indicates the server appears to be unavailable.  This occurs on both my XP desktop and my Vista laptop.  I disabled my firewall on the XP unit but still no luck.  Looking for ideas on what to try next

Make sure you are mapping via IP address and not name.  \\IP_of_NAS\folder_name

Also make sure both firewall and antivirus is off.
