Title: Incorrect Name for USB Disk
Post by: P38roverowner on December 29, 2008, 06:49:25 AM

Hi

I purchased a USB disk in order to expand the capacity of my LinkStation and yet, in the PCast menu the disk is called USB Disd1 instead of USB Disk1 and I cannot select this disk in PCast, or at least, I can select it, but once I press "Apply" and then re-enter the PCast menu option, the selection has returned to "Share" or in fact any of the other folders I choose, but never my USB Disk (Which is named "USB Disd1"and I cannot change it)

Elsewhere, for example under the "Maintenance / System Status" menu, the disk is correctly named USB Disk1 and I wonder if this naming error is the reason that I cannot use it with my LinkTheater.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

Many thanks guys.

What firmware are you using on the linkstation?  Please make sure the Linkstation is up to date.

Many thanks for your prompt reply.  The firmware version is 1.61 which I understand is the latest for this rather old piece of equipment.

I will run some tests with this unit and the firmware, I will work with our corporate office to get this resolved.
