Title: Link Station Quad model LS-Q4.0TL/R5 blue light blinking 2 long one short for days
Post by: rcuteri on February 11, 2011, 10:36:35 AM

Link Station Quad model LS-Q4.0TL/R5   :

Mainboard failed. Bought completely new system. Put old drives in new enclosure over a week ago.

Blue light blinking 2 long one short for a week. The 4 drive lights were all blinking fast, but now they've simply been solid green for 24 hours.NAS Navigator found system and said it was doing a disk check on drive one until yesterday. Now it comes up blank and unable to log into the web interface. What's up?

I would try and update the firmware. You needed to do this once you put the drives in a new unit.

It shipped with the latest firmware. Or do you mean the software on drive one? If so, can you point me to how to do this?

You need to go to http://www.buffalotech.com/support/downloads and download the version 1.10 firmware for your unit and run the firmware updater. This should fix the issue.

How do I get the system to be seen on the net? Or do I do this from a PC?

You have to update this unit from a pc.

Thanks. I read the FAQ and saw that.  Do I need to cycle power to the unit?
