Title: itunes -- synch'ing, seeing, etc.

I have a linkstation 500GB which I installed a few months ago.  There is a lot of music on it.  iTunes from multiple computers can see it and play it.   However, 1) I can't see the songs on teh Linkstation and 2) no one can synch their ipods using music on teh LinkStation.  The music still has to be on the local computers.  Any ideas?

what firmware do you have on this unit and what region was it purchased in?
