Title: MediaStation BluRay disc unrecognized
Post by: Esteban on December 09, 2008, 03:29:26 AM

Install of 8x external drive with eSATA adaptor in express port of laptop went well, no glitches.

Drive recognized, reads CD Rom of install program, but not brand new Sony 50Gb BluRay disc.

Cannot access disc through Explorer.  No formatting option comes up.

Did I miss a step?

What operating system are you using?  Also did you install the software that come with the unit?

Hi Paul:

Windows XP Pro SP2 on a Fujitsu N6210. Software installed OK it seems, although only files on start menu are Motorola driver installer executable, release notes, license agreement rtf.

After reboot, and problem, I put in the CD again but only allowed installing adobe and USB enhancer, neither of which needed.

Beginning to think my Express Card-eSATA adaptor doesn't like BD.

Its possible, I would go to buffalotech.com and download a CD image and try to install it again.
