Title: LS-CHL with UNKNOWN workgroup
Post by: Sotic on September 03, 2010, 10:44:37 AM

I have recently had a problem with my Linkstation which has been working fine. I was unable to connect across the network, I was also unable to access it via web interface. I tried to run the setup again and it did see the device but it reported back that the device had the workgroup set to UNKNOWN. I have been unable to access the device in any way. I have tried to set it back to factory default but this also has no impact.

I thought about upgrading the firmware but unless I can connect it directly to a laptop I can not communicate with it.

Does anyone have any ideas

download the 1.34 firmware from the Buffalo website and run the LSUpdater.exe file.
