Title: Repelcate usbdisk1 from Terrasation III to usbdisk1 on a Terrastation II Pro
Post by: chris0583 on September 02, 2010, 01:03:40 PM

Can anyone replicate tthis issue?  I set the "DIsk Backup" flag in the shared  folder on the terrastation II Pro for usbdisk1.  When I navigate to system/backup/replication/add  on the terrastation III, it lists all the backup targets on the Terrastation II Pro except the USB Drives.

Is this a bug?

Which firmware version are you running?  We won't be able to help if we don't have that information.

Terrastation III is 1.40 and Terrastation Pro II is 1.33  I believe they are both the latest.

No it's not a bug as far as I know replication will only work between two TS III's.  USB disks are not an option since on the destination TS III you can setup a backup job to send its data to the USB drive.

I can replicate all my shares on the terrastation III including the usbdisks to and non usb share on the terrastation II. I just can not replicate a usbdisk on a terastation III to a usbdisk on a terastation II.
