Title: Files names too long?
Post by: Unhappy09 on August 22, 2010, 09:05:39 PM

I have the Linkstation Live 1tb. With the most current firmware. I use the media server on an Xbox360. We tried to find a movie tonight and coudnt. The only thing I can see that might be wrong is that the name fo the movie "Prince Of Persia: Sands of Time" is too long? Is this correct? Is there a setting some were I missed?

You will need to provide the model number and actual firmware for us to assist you, please always read the guidelines before posting

Wow Angels, not even a hint of what the problem could be. A file name that is too long would have nothing to do with the model number. I already figured it out, its just another glitch in the rediculously flawed firmware that Buffalo is putting out. For a moderator you sure were not very helpful. I read the guidelines, what do you think that Linkstation Live and the most current firmware means? Once again, I say for the many people here that post questions and problem and they go unanswered. Thanks for nothing!

And if you had referenced the firmware I may have been able to let you know about apossible flaw in firmware, or even a method of repairing this problem.  I am sorry you feel that I could not even "guess" at your problem but by "guessing" there is a risk of damaging the unit and possibly bricking it

For someone who's posted 94 times, hopefully you've read the rules at least once.

We have several Linkstation Live versions in the USA alone - that's why the rules request the model number. Most people like to get quicker help, and follow the rules that help us determine the issue and solution faster - some do not.
