Hey guys
I recently purcahsed a secondhand TerraStation Pro TS-TGL-EM.
It is utilizing all four bays with 2TB HDD (a total of 8TB).
I have connected it to my network and it is able to obtain an IP via my DHCP of 10.0.0.9, subnet mask of 255.0.0.0, and default gateway of 10.0.0.1.
As the subject heading states, I am unable to get to the terraStation by pointing my web browser to 10.0.0.9.
The IP of my PC I am using to get to the TeraStation is 10.0.0.7, subnet mask of 255.0.0.0, and default gateway of 10.0.0.1
I figured that I would upgrade the firmware so I downloaded BUFFALO TS-TGL Updater Ver.1.03.
I run the update software and it is able to find a device with the host name of TS-TGL-EM
When I click 'Firmware Update', I receive the following message:
"TeraStation cant respond.
Confirm whether TeraStation and this computer are belong same network segment.
If this computer's firewall feature is enabled, please disable it. Firmware update is canceled."
Click OK on the above message and it returns me to the Updater screen, I noticed that the Workgroup and the Firmware fields are blank. Is this normal?
Can anyone provide me some extra help. It would be much appreciated
The firmware is currently not being detected because it is corrupted. I would recommend a force firmware update with the latest firmware available in your region. It is important to note where this device came from so that the region can be properly determined and you don't "brick" your TS Pro with the wrong firmware. Post back and let us know what happens.
