Title: Old TS-1.0TGL.r5 Network Problem
Post by: Bouren on August 11, 2010, 12:34:35 PM

Not sure if a problem like this has ever been addressed.  A few days ago, lightning stuck my house and fried a bunch of network gear.  My terastation will not link up with a switch now.  It boots up just fine and showing no errors but will not link up.

Is it possible to purchase a new Terrastation and move the drives over without lossing data?  Does it have to be the same model or will something more current work just fine?

I really don't see any other way to access the data without a connection via the LAN port.

The Terastation would need to be the same model (i.e. TS-0.0GL/R5) for this to work properly
