Title: How to use an encrypted HD-PX320U2 (Win) for my Macintosh (OSX 10.5.7)
Post by: Flaxooo on August 06, 2010, 08:04:07 AM

Hello,

I have bought a HD-PX320U2 in Japan. The Salesman put a Password on the Windows formated HD. I can not delete it.

It runs fine with my PC.

Now I want to use the HD on my Mac OSX 10.5.7.

I have the following Problem:

1) Due to the Japanese manual on the HD I'm not able to read the instructions.

2) I can not download the english manual from the download site.

3) The serial no. is not accepted by thesystem. I live in Europe.

4) How can I get the manual and necessary programms for the Winndows and Mac, so I can use the HD on my Macintosh

It would be very helpfull to have a instruction how to delete the password and make it readable for the Mac.

Thank you very much for your help

I'm not sure if this will work for you but since Japanese isn't your first language you could try this.  No guarantees though.

Thank you for the answer. The link you have sent (try this) are the japanese instructions. I'm looking for the english version. Do have any idea where can I download the english manual and software?

Thank you for your help.

Give this a try.  Hopefully we'll get that taken care of on the US and FTP site soon.
