Title: Will running a remote procedure call against twonky invalidate the warranty?
Post by: Savageness on August 04, 2010, 06:40:04 AM

I think I've got a fix regarding my earlier question relating to the number of folders twonky can publish, but the fix involves running an RPC against the twonky port. This won't invalidate the warranty will it? Its not like I'm hacking into the firmware of the OS itself.

Please can someone advise before I go ahead and test. I won't be running any of the firmware or telnet commands found on other websites, just using the RPC command from internet explorer.

Thanks

This should be fine. Even if anything messes up, it could be fixed with a simple firmware flash.

Hi Savageness,

I'd like to know how you accomplished this.  I've wanted to share several folders, but the firware limits to to just one.  I have several media folders...i.e. Pictures, Videos, Music and would love to know how you specifically did this.  Please let me know...thanks.

This just in, running a RPC will void the warranty.  Be advised.
