Title: Buffalo HD-CE500U2-EU HELP!

I am new to this forum but i hoping somebody can help me.

I have a Buffalo HD-CE500U2-EU, i have formmated it on my laptop, but it will not let me format in NTFS (only) exfat, but with exfat i cannot put big files in it, does anybody know how to format to make it NTFS, or can i take outthe hard drive and format in a computer then put back in the case.
