Title: Terastation Pro II - Box Failure. Old drives into new box?
Post by: ian1ian1 on December 04, 2008, 02:50:04 PM

Hi have the Terastation PRO II box with 4x 1terabyte drives.  The box has errors and they are sending a replacement unit.  If I put the drives (with all my data) from the old box into the new one will this work automatically?

Or is there something I need to do?  I don't want to lose my data.

Many Thanks,

Ian

More Info:  got the E04 message - can't load kernel.  called buffalo and they are sending a new unit.  is it as easy as taking the old 4 drives out and putting it into the new box?
