Title: Buffalo MiniStationLite HD-PE500U2 Doesn't show
Post by: tckw93 on July 15, 2010, 03:14:57 AM

This is my first Buffalo External Hard Drive but it seems dissapointing.

It's either it have very weak programs or either hard tutorials.

I used this hard drive on my Vista Home Basic, it was installing and installed, but doesn't show at explorer.

Later I tested it on another computer, Windows 7 Ultimate, but still not working.

In the instruction, it said that it was plug and play, but why don't I see the Hard Drive on my Windows Explorer?

Sometimes the unit will have to have the partition deleted or sometimes windows will not assign a drive a drive letter right away.  Go to start, right click on computer, hit manage then go to disk management and see if it sees the unit. It may show a drive with a black bar or no drive letter. If it shows a black bar, delete the partition or create a new one a follow the steps. It should then show up. If it doesn't show up in this window, its a bad drive.
