Title: Error has occured in RAID Array 1
Post by: jlewis on July 14, 2010, 11:08:34 AM

Hi All,

First let me say that I am a novice at working with the Buffalo Terastation storage devices, so I really need assistance from someone who is experienced with the product listed below. I have a Buffalo Terastation -HD-H1-OTGL/R5 with four 245GB  SATA Disk Drives (WDC WD2500BB-22RDA) in a RAID 5.

Yesterday, I encountered an error when I looked in my web console, the exact error message was " An error was detected in the RAID Array."

I have never seen this before, but I would assume that since the four drives are in a RAID 5 that my data would still be accessible and it's NOT.

How should I proceed with troubleshooting this problem? Please bear in mind that I have critical data that I cannot back up at this point and I would like to avoid losing it if at all possible. Thank you in advance!!

When you click on the error which disk are you able to tick? Or is your only option to delete the RAID?
