This issue arose at the start of this week and has failed to right itself(and I have so far failed to resolve aswell). When I try to access the Linkstation through NAS Navigator it is unable to find the drive except for the first couple of minutes after switching to the on position It then seems not to respond at all and the only thing that changes it's status is pulling out the power cable(even moving the slide to the off position). I have tried running the unit using the auto option aswell to no avail, I have reset the unit to factory settings(not reformatted), I have tried to update the firmware but because the unit is only accessible for the first couple of minutes it has not gone through. The unit is not accessible through the network, NAS Navigator or the IP Login.
The unit is a LinkStation™ Duo - LS-WXL/R1 with 2TB storage, it is running firmware version 1.24 and had been working perfectly well until earlier this past week.
