Title: need some help active directory in terastation
Post by: ramelan_mulya on June 30, 2010, 02:20:47 AM

hi...

I have a problem with active directory in my Terastation TS-HTGL-/R5 series.

If in one network, I don't have a problem connecting with the active directory and successfully.

But I have a problem if connecting in different network.

experiments that I made using two routers with the different network. Here is the following schema :

Terastation – switch – router cisco A – WAN – router cisco B – switch – windows server 2003.

Terastation : 172.16.1.2

router cisco A : fast ethernet 172.16.1.1 serial 192.168.1.1

router cisco B : fast ethernet 10.1.1.1 serial 192.168.1.2

windows server 2003 : 10.1.1.2

all connection is normal. But the terastation can't connect with the active directory. I wanted to ask, can terastation support windows server 2003 active directory if the scheme like that schema which using different network or segment?if it can, how to do it?

sory if my language is bad.

the domain controller needs to be on the local network using the same subnet.

so you mean that terastation can't access active directory in different network ?? only for local network?
