I recently purchased this harddrive and had to format it for a Linux install. I've been having problems installing Linux on this computer and the new HD was no solution. So, upon entering Windows after many failed attempts of installing Linux (reformatted the drive so lost the files that were originally on it) I noticed that the drive was not showing up in my computer. I looked in Device Management, Disk Management, Easeus - It isn't showing up anywhere. I backed up the files that were originally on the drive thining that I might have to replace them -- however, I can't access the drive to put them back on. When I attempt to install firmare/drivers/software it simply tells me that the drive is not connected. I've tried to connect it to USB 3 as well as USB 2 ports. Not only one either. I've exhausted all possible options and I'm not a complete noob with computers so please don't treat me like one by giving me the generic "do you have the latest chipset driver" response. Chipset drivers have absolutely nothing to do with this issue.
