I'm having trouble getting access to my 8TB Linkstation...
Everything is connected up via a PowerConnect 2216, 16 Port Dell switch.
I've installed NASNavigator2, running firmware 1.11 , version 2.25 on my Windows XP pc.
I've also got a MAC (running the same/latest software/firmware)
I've checked ALL my cables.
Internet works fine. Switch is new, out of the box, never used.
I've made a "share" folder, and 2 users.
I get some error messages when I try to:
"Refresh" – I get an error "Cannot connect to LS-QL7E3. Do you want to automatically correct the IP address?" If I press "Yes", it doesn't always work. Mostly I get: "failed to change the IP address of the LS-QL7E3". And sometimes I get the ip 0.0.0.0. Then I reboot the NAS; and it gets back to default IP.
When I try to...:
"Map remote default share to drive letter" – I get an error saying: "Failed mapping. Remote defaut share file is missing"
When I try to...:
"disconnect mapped drive letter" - I get "The drive mapped is not found"
Ive tried to access the NAS through "start", and "run", and "\\MY.NAS.IP.ADRESS" No luck.
I can log in via webadmin on the default IP and configure the NAS server fine. But not as mapped drive letters.
What do I have to do to get access via my PC or Mac? It doesn't seem to do anything when I make a new share folder either...
Test to use "\\NAS Name" it work or not.
Whats the IP of both the NAS and the PC?
