Title: FTP to Linkstation Live 2TB within my LAN
Post by: fhumbert on June 21, 2010, 10:59:22 AM

Hi,

I have enabled the FTP feature on my LinkStation Live 2TB.

From my PC, I start an FTP session to the local IP address of the linkstation and I use the admin/password credentials. It connects alright but it shows me that I am in "disk1" and it's empty.

This is strange because I have put some files under the "share" volume (which was pre-configured). So I would have expected the FTP session to bring me straight in to the "share" area and show me exactly what I see from my shared drive in windows explorer.

Why is it not so ?

Thanks for any help.

Fred

Basic question, the share folder, is the FTP option selected?

Hi AngelsAbyss,

Yes the FTP option is selected for the "share" area.

- Use windows explore or IE.
- Type ftp://address on Address bar.
- Right click on blank page, left click Login as...
- Enter user name and password.

It works.
