After an automatic update to windows XP on my desktop PC with 4 gig ram and sp3 my files on the buffalo HD-hs1.0tq are not seen at all. I've tried replacing cables, different usb ports and still no files can be seen on my drive.any suggestion on how i can retrieve my files would be greatly appreciated.
Before trying for data recovery, have you tried using a different computer to test the device, as you said, since a recent update. Suggested to try different computers prior to anything else. If the problem still persists there are a lot of program on the web that offer free trials before you buy. There is also professional data recovery services available
