Title: Linkstation Pro LS-250GL E16 issues
Post by: itstheburns327 on June 15, 2010, 10:26:45 PM

linkstation pro ls-250gl originally, upgraded it once to a 500gb samsung hd501lj drive, worked fine. i am now upgrading to a 1tb western digital wd10eals drive. after following alot of instructions from this site, i got it to work.... only problem is, every time i boot it up, the error light blinks 6 short and 1 long blink. i found out this is error E16 drive not found. after the device boots, i can access the drive, format the drive, copy to and from the drive without trouble. problem is, i dont want to see this error everytime it boots after a power failure or if i have to shut it down for any reason. the nas software can find the drive, it can report free/used space on the drive, etc. I tried 2 identical drives thinking maybe it was a bad drive. same result with either drive. any thoughts?

UPDATE: I was not successful to get 100% from the WD10EALS drive. I installed a Samsung Spinpoint F3 HD103SJ 1TB drive. that worked flawlessly after running TFTP and reflashing with 1.15 firmware.
