First off. Hello I am new here.

Now for the important stuff. I have an HD-CE1.0TLU2. I am trying to get it to work with Windows 7. I cannot get it to work. I have an HP 64 bit 504 touch. I can't even get it to come up in my list of harddrives. I can hear it when I plug it into the usb port and can find it in the drive search but cannot get it to work. I used to have Vista as well and it still did not work.I contacted support with the problem in vista and they did not offer any solution. I do not have the CD that came with the unit either so I downloaded everything from the download site... Is there any remedy to this problem??? Oh btw I even tried it on a windows XP computer and it wasn't even recognized....

If the drive is not even recognized on XP there could be a problem with the unit itself.  You may be able to hear the drive moving, can you hear any clicking, possibly low grinding?  When connecting the USB cable does Windows make its sound that it knows something is attached?  Also when going via USB is the light on the red/orange setting?

First one yes I can hear the hard drive at times sounds loud and others quiet. I can hear the windows making the sound when you plug it in. When it is powered up the light is green. No other colored lights

The units ending in "LU2" are Flexnet series meaning that the switch on the lower right is the USB/LAN switch USB is the red/orange and LAN is green, The light on the top of the unit should be blue if the unit is under normal operating conditions
