I have a Dell Vostro laptop running Windows 7. When I connect my Buffalo HD-HB300U2-EU External Hard Drive to my laptop I get the following error.
"Currently, this hardware device is not connected to the computer. (Code 45)"
Your assistance in trying to figure out how I can access the hard drive would be greatly appreciated.

Ok after disconnecting and connecting multiple times, updating drivers, rebooting and everything else I could think of I plugged it in one last time just as I hit post and guess what! It's working! Sorry for any inconvenience.
