Title: Linkstation, UPNP, and TIme Machine
Post by: Vampeter on June 01, 2010, 02:39:51 AM

Interested in a Linkstation Quad but can't get past this USER review off of newegg.

"Most of the features on this NAS don't work as advertised...I planned to use this as the Time Machine drive for my Mac, but setup just doesn't work out of the box. I spent days trawling forum threads and finally found a manual workaround. My biggest problem now is that DLNA wasn't well implemented on this product and it just doesn't work well with other DLNA certified devices. I haven't been able to consistently play content from the media server through my PS3..."

Any feedback?  How does it comapare to Iomega Home Media NAS?  Thanks.
