Title: Can I map to root of drive

I'm migrating from an older LinkSys NAS to a new LinkStation Quad (LS-Q1.0TL running 1.11) and I'm running Windows XP.

 

Something I'm able to do on the LinkSys that was handy for some of my own scripted backups etc, was the ability to map a network drive in Windows to the root of the NAS. Is that possible somehow on the LinkStation?

Yes, you can map the drive. What you will want to do is open a run. In the line type //(theipaddressof youlinkstation). This will bring up the folders in the unit. Right click your root share and select the "Map network drive" option.
