Title: Linkstation LS-CH1.0TL error on FW update
Post by: SimoPP on December 01, 2008, 02:11:02 PM

As I had several communication fails on the Linkstation, I tried to update the FW from 1.01 to 1.02. At first the update was aborted after asking password. The LS said something about exception at A0000XXX or something. I tried it twice, and after that the updater does not find the LS at all. I think I have to send it back, unless someone recognizes if there is a way to recover.

I managed to update to LS-CHL today. I have (since I bricked my first Linkstation) used a direct connection to the updated LS, but this new one is different. I only managed to update it within my network.

Another difference is that the lost contacts were possibly because of different NAS Navigator versions. It seems I got rid of lost communications when I uninstalled the older Navigator and installed the one delivered with the LS-CHL.

Let´s see if this was the solution. At least I have been finally able to move some data into it.
