Title: Connect two ESX hosts to TS-RIXL/R5
Post by: nickmind on May 19, 2010, 06:41:16 PM

Hey All,

We are trying to use a TeraStation III TS-RIXL/R5 for shared storage between two ESX hosts.  The first host connects fine and can write to the LUNs.  But the second host connects, but does not see the LUNs when we try to rescan.  Can this been done?  If so, what am i missing.  And If not, why?  We have an other Terastation, that two hosts are connected to the same LUN.

Thanks for your time and help,

Nick

VMFS should allow this to work. I will set up a test for this.

In the meantime, please make sure you have the latest firmware, and try removing and recreating the volumes on the terastation.

AHA found it.

Recreate the volume. In the New Volume settings screen, check Advanced Settings. Change MaxConnections to 2, and save the New Volume.
