Title: LSCH 1.0TL USB HDD issues
Post by: leebrown on May 19, 2010, 02:23:26 PM

Hey all,

I'm having a problem with my Linkstation. I was coming to the end of the 1.0Tb included so bought an external usb seagate 1.5TB to expand the link station.

Under firmware 1.06 I booted connected it all up, logged in under admin, formatted the HDD to XFS and perfecto it worked fine.

Copied a couple of files across and it all looked good. Left it 24 hours came back and it suddenly wouldn't recognise the drive. Though it was something I had done so same again formatted drive. Again drive worked fine for a while and I started copying files across.

Next morning however same thing. I've since updated to 1.07 hoping this would resolve the issue but no such luck.

I have connected disk up to ubuntu but it will not recognise as XFS either, so cant recover files, disk check shows everything to be ok healthwise though.

Any advise would be much appreciated as Buffalo support seem to have abandoned me.
