Can you delete the "info" share?
If so, how? (seems to be protected from deletion -- invalid permissions)

The Info share contains files from the firmware that are necessary for the device to function. If you are successful in deleting that folder the kernel will not be able to load resulting in an error.
...I think we'll keep the info share!
But, why is it in Japanese?

Even though it is now changing, most of the firmware is written in Japan. Buffalo is now currently working on a new line of firmware that is based in English.
I can sound a bit more 'in the know' when one of my buddies ask!
