I owned this NAS drive more than a year. It worked well until yesterday. I couldn't see it in my network! All shared folders were disappeared and the Navigator2 GUI shows empty! The only thing I can see was the Web Admin GUI via IP 192.168.1.102. I was trying to restart it but the application got hung. I powered it off then on, it didn't work. The status LED worked as normal during the power off-on cycle. What should I do? Please help me out

When the unit was powering on, what was the light on the top doing? blinking blue, steady? Also was the function light in anyway illuminated.  From the sound of the problem the drive could be bad or something possibly happened within the firmware settings.  Please update on the status so we can further assist you

Both lights on my unit look fine. Last night I did unplug the powre cord and re-plug it then power on. You konw what happened? I can map shared folders on this disk on both Mac and PC laptops via wireless network and my desktop can see disk icon in Navigator2 via wired network! I was trying to re-install Navigator2 on my laptop thru wireless network, but I got "can't find LinkStation" error and installation failed.

The navigator2 used to work fine thru the wireless network. I replaced my old  linksys G router with newCisco E2000 N router three weeks ago and the replacement was done well. All my laptops and desktop can show this LinkStaion in Navigator2 or "network neighberhood". I haven't done nothing with router or Linkstation re-config. I really don't know what happened with thsi unit! Last night, I did copy all my important data on this disk. Can I do INITILIZATION for this disk? As I know, the initilization will not wipe the data out, it just restore all config to factory default settings? Am I right?

That is correct, if there was a chance that it would erase any data on the unit you would receive another prompt saying that it will occur and to verify if you wanted to do it.  But initialization just resets user settings for the unit.
