Title: iTunes Question 1TB LS-CH1.0TL
Post by: markadams on May 05, 2010, 02:23:44 AM

I have set this up correctly (i believe), i created a folder in shared called itunes, FTP'd my whole itunes library into that folder.

Now in iTunes clients on my network i can see the linkstation appear as a shared resource (on the left in itunes) BUT i am unable to copy any songs from the library on the network to any local playlists on the itunes clients. Not what i expected at all or have i missed something?

If its appearing as a shared library in iTunes then it is working correctly, you cannot create playlists etc using this option.

If you want to so this then you need to change iTunes default library location to the Linkstation. Click Edit => Preferences => Advanced => Change the library to the map drive you have created and stored your songs on the LS.

Once done it will import all the songs etc and you will be able to create playlists and do what you want.
