Title: Linkstation Live HS-DHGL 750Gb - firmware update failure

My Live 750 Gb has firmware 2.1.1. I tried to update it with firmware 2.2.1 but the update fails. The unit is recognized by the updater, the process starts, transfers happen, but one quater in, I get the message:

 

HS-DHGL102 returns an error ( ACP_STATE_FAILURE)

 

Updating is aborted.

 

I don't want to force the update and brick the unit. Any idea as to why this error message is displayed?

The only supported soltuion is force updating the firmware with the option checked to "rebuild partition table" checked (this will result in data loss).
