Title: LS-CHLv2 Errors I11 E22 and Lost Data
Post by: lboitier on May 03, 2010, 01:33:01 AM

Hi All,

I had yesterday the first bad experience with my 4 month-old Linkstation Live LS-CH1.0TL and it looks pretty bad.

The Linkstation does not flashes blue but orange and even sometimes Red.

The Message in NASNAVI are :

- for Orange I11:The bad sectors of disk 1 reaches emergency level. (2010/05/03 08:21:06)

- for Red E22 (Mounting Alarm)

And the most inconvenient for me, the data stored under disk1/share dissapeared. Impossible to find them with Windows Explorer. disk1/share has now only an empty Bittorent subfolder, although according to the properties the size of this Folder is around 408MB.

I updated the firmware to 1.24. But It did not bring any improvments.

I wonder if there is any way for me to recover the data and repair the disk.

Please let me know if there is a way to proceed.

My Config

1/ LS-CH1.0TL (LS-CHL-V2 Series) Manufactured Sept 2009

2/ Firmware 1.24

3/ HP Pavilion dv6-2120eg - Windows 7 Home Premium

4/ Router Fritz!Box Fon WLAN 7170

Thank you very much in advance,

Laurent

Bad sectors would mean its a physically issues with the disk itself, your only option would be professional data recovery.
