Title: Random disconnection ls-ql
Post by: asadfkhan on May 02, 2010, 08:38:37 AM

Hi

I have linkstation quad 1TB model

I've noticed that every now and then it disconnects then reconnects. Usually this will happen during a large file transfer (eg playing from media server or copying over from computer). Perhaps it happens at other times without me noticing it.

Is there any way to stop this?

Thanks.

If this is a random occurance, it could be within the network itself, also could be in relation to the file format, another option you could see if the issue becomes remedied would perform a firmware update, the instructions to force it are described in here  http://forums.buffalotech.com/t5/Storage/FAQ-2-of-4-Force-Firmware-update-procedure-please-read-this/td-p/11011
