Title: WD20EARS comaptible with Buffalo TeraStation Pro II Network storage TS-RI4.0TGL ?
Post by: artster on April 24, 2010, 02:24:05 PM

I have a TS-RI4.0TGL and want to upgrade it from 4TB raw to 8TB.  I've read existing posts on how to do it and am comfortable.  What I am not certain about is the Western Digital WD20EARS.  It's a green drive with larger block sizes (4K?)  I believe.  Does anyone have any experience with these in any Terastation.

Thanks!

They dont work with our units. They have the spin down feature.  Spinning down at any time, means you can't wake it up, as the OS is on the drive - that's the main issue.
