Title: Link Station Live with PS3 Connectivity - No images to display
Post by: Roadster66 on April 21, 2010, 08:46:15 AM

I have just taken delivery of my Link Station Live with 1Tb, I have connected into my network and can see it on my network all working well.

If I turn on my PS3 it can see the Link Station and brings up the little Black Icon, I can select 'Triangle' and it shows me the IP Address and the MAC address, but I can't get it to show any of my photos, Videos, it tell me that there are no images to display.

I have put some photos in the Shared Drive directory and also create a new one called pictures, but none of these are accessible via the PS3

Can anybody help or had this same issue.

Thanks in advance.

Yes the photos are in a format that PS3 can read as I can view from the hard drive of the PC over the wireless, but of course that means the PC always being on I wanted a device that was independant from the PC.

I am wondering if I need to create a special directory on the Linkstation or change any settings?

Ok, I have just tried my wireless photo fram it picks up the Link Station Live but it also says there are no images to display, I am think there must be a setting somewhere which  is not making these files visible to the remotely connected devices?

Have you created the correct folders on the linkstation??

You need to create the folders MUSIC, VIDEO and PHOTO (in caps)  in the route directory of the linkstation.

I have found that when adding new content to the linkstation, it sometimes takes a while for the ps3 to see it. I have found that restarting the linkstation while the ps3 is on makes it refresh and see the new content, sometimes!
