Hi, I need to replace my WD Caviar Green (WD15EARS) in my LS-CHL with another 1.5 TB disk.
Can you tell me which disks are certified to work with LS-CHL? Which disk is used in the LS-CH1.5TL?
My options are:
- Seagate Barracuda ST31500341AS
- Samsung EcoGreen F3 HD153WI
- Samsung EcoGreen F2 HD154UI
- or, again, another WD Caviar Green WD15EARS
I'm afraid that LS-CHL has some kind of incompatibility with the last one (WD15EARS), because mine isn't working properly (it hangs during copy or streaming media).
Can you tell me which is the right drive (the one used in the LS-CH1.5TL)?

Any of them should work. I have seen issues with the Pro Duo and the WD Caviar Green.

I'd like to use the same drive that Buffalo uses in his 1.5TB LS-CHL, that is named LS-CH1.5TL.

Log into the web admin and go to system>storage. Look at Disk1 is should say something like this. If that doesnt show it then it can be samsung,hitachi,WD,.......
Look here at the disk and it should indicate which kind is there. This one is a Western Digital

Thank you, I actually have a WD15EARS in my LS-CHL, but it is not the original disk.
When I bought my LS-CH500L it has a WD5000AAKS, then I changed it with a WD15EARS.
After some months it begins to hung during file copy or streaming media, so I'm looking for another disk that is certified to work properly in the LS-CHL.
Can you tell me the other models included in the LS-CH1.5TL?

Buffalo does not use specific manufacturers for there Hard Drives. Normally its a Western Digital, Samsung, Hitachi, Seagate.

the above posts are only for 500GB and 1TB, want to know for 1,5 and 2TB.

The models numbers may not be the same but WD and Hitachi drives for a fact can be used. As those 2 nfgr's are used for the 2TB models in Buffalo devices
