Title: Changing file permisions on Linkstation LS-WTGL/R1V3
Post by: jmartinez on April 05, 2010, 07:20:51 PM

I'm working with a LS-WTGL/R1V3, currently i have set various users to acess a single folder. My current problem is that several files were transfered onto the drive before the users were created. Some files were transfered from a mac others from windows pc machine. This caused two different permision to be set, guest and nobody. Now that there is more organization with the different users acessing each others files is no problem, however the files that have guest or nobody set as there permision holders to read and write are not accessible. Is there a easy elegante way of changing these permisions such that all users can read/write these files.

Try turning off access restrictions all together. Individual file permissions should not transfer to the Linkstation. The only access restrictions are the restrictions delegated to the linkstation.
