Hi, I've bought a 500 GB LS-CH500L in October 2008. Some months ago I've replaced the original disk (WD Caviar Blue) with a bigger one (WD Caviar Green 1.5 TB WD15EADS-00P8B0). The operation was successfull and I've been using the unit with the new disk for five-six months until now.
Recently I noticed a strange behaviour: when I'm copying a large batch of files or when streaming media (via SMB or DLNA) the unit hangs randomly.
Then I recovered two old drives (WD Raptor 74 GB and Seagate Momentus 2.5') for testing purposes, trying to figure out if the problem was the disk or the unit. With both disks the unit works fine, but if I put the old WD Caviar Green 1.5 TB the unit starts hanging in the same situation.
The odd thing is that if I connect the WD Caviar Green directly to my PC motherboard it works flowlessly!
Anyway, if I want to replace the WD Caviar Green with another 1.5 TB disk for the LS-CHL, which disk can you suggest me that is certified to work properly in the Buffalo unit? Which disk is mounted in the LS-CH1.5TL?
