Title: Drive Station tipped on it's side while running and instantly began making a horrible noise.

I have a Drive Station 500 GB TurboUSB External Hard Drive. It was running when my friend's foot hooked the power cord which caused my Drive Station to tip on it's side on the desk. My Drive Station immediately started to make a horrible noise, which sounded like something hitting the fan blade. Will I be able to recor my precious data if I bring it into a computer shop?
