Title: Unable to Map drive to LinkStation
Post by: Patrick870 on April 14, 2025, 11:22:18 AM
Hello -
I've used a LinkStation 210D with a Windows 10 HP laptop for several years. Just replaced laptop, now running Windows 11, and cannot map drive to LS210D with NAS Navigator. Keep getting error "could not map share - create folder named "share" before mapping". There is in fact a shared folder at C:\Buffalo\Share, and have unshared/re-shared a number of times. Also in and out of NAS settings: DLNA = ON, SMP = ON, BitTorrent = ON, DLNA Server = ON, Print Server = ON. Am able to ping LS201D from both Settings and Windows command prompt. What am I missing / doing wrong?

Due to a recent update with Windows 11 you now have to manually add the credentials for network drives into windows for access by default. You should be able to regain access by following the article below starting from step 3.
