Title: 1T NAS Drive Problems
Post by: LorinM on March 17, 2025, 09:16:02 PM
Drive has blinking red light on front panel
LS-CHLA5-1T
Laptop Win 7 Pro x64
Windows shows Folders with X on the folder icon.
Double-Clicking on a folder shown with X is not accessible.
NAS Nagigator does not show this drive but it does show my other Buffalo NAS.

I can create create a folder and write files and verify files are written.

Is this a catastrophic failure or should I try to erase the X folders and keep using it or what?
Suggestion please.

I do not need recovery since I have multiple backup.

How many times is it blinking red? There will be a number of flashes, pause, number of flashes, pause, continuously repeated.
