Title: Red LED on Buffalo Linkstation IS20D issue solved.
Post by: focusrsh on February 28, 2025, 04:21:56 PM
My  LinkStation IS20D (16 TB)  began showing the red failure indicator.  At power-on, it would flash white while booting, then go solid white, as it should.  After a few more minutes, it would turn red.  The NAS appeared to be running fine and showed up in Nas Navigator.  I could reach the shared  disk space with no problem.
Later, during an overnight backup the backup software said "lost connection to the NAS".  Not good
I noticed that every time I booted the NAS, I got a warning that new firmware (V 2.51) was available. My Unit had V 1.46-0.16.  I eventually downloaded the update and installed it.  The red LED has yet to reappear
